In categories 8D, 8C, 8B, 4 and V on the Dream and Fantasy, there are actually round tubs! The V on the Magic and Wonder, and R, S and T on all ships have a whole ‘nother level of bathrooms and tubs. The tub in the 1-bedroom suites on the Dream and Fantasy is more like a small pool.
On board a ship, guests often find a need to change frequently. On a typical day, you might be in and out of exercise clothes, swim clothes, casual attire, and formal dinner attire, then back to swim or casual attire. If one person wants to nap and another person needs to change, there’s not much room for quiet and privacy with only 48 square feet to call your own. Most people say to avoid staterooms under the pool deck – but our experience on Disney ships is that this really isn’t good advice. There are more concierge staterooms available on the new Fantasy and Dream than there are on the classic ships. There are One Bedroom Suites that sleep up to 5 guests in 614 square feet of space.
If you want the highest of high-end and are prepared to pay the price, these suites are the ultimate experience on board a Disney Cruise. In addition to tinkering with different stateroom configurations, larger families (and anyone else looking to economize), may want to look closely at their travel dates. Your travel date can be the largest factor in the overall price of your Disney Cruise vacation.
You will still have the same overall Disney cruise experience – you will just probably want to spend less time in your stateroom than those with a verandah. While I highly recommend the split bath for families, there are some people who prefer having one larger bathroom as opposed to two smaller ones. Additionally, on the Magic Class ships, there are some 11Bs with a “sideways” layout. These staterooms are somewhat popular and feel a little roomier than the regular inside stateroom layouts.
